These do not disappoint

My school purchased 2 of these for a middle school multi-purpose room that is about 100' long 60' wide and 25' tall, all hard surfaces. I DJ the dances for the school and recommended these and four QSC k12.2's to go with them. They are used for dances, movies and live events. So far we have only used them for a dance and a movie. In my personal setup I currently run 2 single Fender Fortis 18's rated at 1,000 watts each and there is absolutely no comparison, these JBL's sound great in that room with 500 kids. I like bass more than most people, but don't get too crazy, for reference, a well designed 200 watt 10" sub in a small car works well for me 99% of the time, but when I DJ in bigger rooms, I find it difficult to find subs that fill in the lows how I want. I have pushed every other subs I have used (1 Cerwin Vega CVA-118, 2 Fender Fortis, 1 EV EXX 18) to the limit and found myself wanting more, well I found my limit with these JBL's. After 2 hours at about 10' behind these at a dance, I had a headache that lasted for nearly a day and almost felt nauseous, lol. The kids were commenting on how they could feel it in their chest, a teacher claimed that other students were getting sick and not feeling well because the bass was too loud, but most of the kids just had a great time. The next time I DJ, I will do it from the back of the room, I never thought I would say this about bass, but after 2 hours it was just too much and too loud. They sound amazing, they hit the low lows and they hit every frequency hard, with the crossover set at 100hz, they compliment the 4 QSC's very well. I also called JBL and asked them about placement, the tech was super helpful, he recommended I place them center stage both on the ground next to each other for maximum bass. I have a buddy that always says JBL stands for "junk but loud" these are definitely loud, but they are definitely not junk. I may need to consider getting more from JBL.
Decent mid-range product

I was using 3 of these for large school dances in a cardioid setup, they do okay. Not overwhelming, but certainly perform for their price point. I ended up getting rid of mine because they are too big for too little bump. I found a pair of RCF dual 15's that perform better than these. I never had any issues with them not working or giving me issues, they only went out to a handful of gigs as they were just too big for most mobile events. Yes, that is my video from Youtube running these in my local park.
[Rewarded Review] Best Subwoofer

This subwoofer is the best on the market. I have two of these now paired with two SRX815P's. The sound is amazing, the bass hits hard. The boxes are very strong, I've let groups of people dance on them, that's how strong they are. The only downside, you need to people to transport them. The caster wheel system helps and if you had a trailer with a ramp, you could probably do it by yourself, but they are big and very heavy.
Amazing Sub Woofer

I bought this for my house and am blown away with its performance. I have very high expectations, but this just took it to another level, in fact I see myself purchasing a 2nd one. I don't like my neighbors so with a 2nd one I should see for sale signs going up soon.

One note for any of you that are installing this in your home, you will run into a problem if your trying to run it out of the back of your AVR, the signal to the sub will not work as it is not strong enough. I had to purchase a small mixer, ran the sub ouput from my AVR to the mixer, and a 1/4" jack from the mixer to the Sub. Dont use a XLR connector is it is a balanced cable and does not work as well as a 1/4" unbalanced as I had to plug it into a RCA jack in my wall which is unbalanced as well.

With the mixer this sub just flat kills it. It is amazing and I highly recommend it. 5 Stars.
