The Really Right Stuff BZ7 base plate is CNC machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum to precisely fit the Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6camera bodies. Utilizing the Z7/Z6's own shape, and proprietary hardware that threads into its 1/4 -20 socket, the BZ7 plate sits rigid, square, and motionless once installed. Having a standard 1.5 wide RRS dovetail railing machined in, it will consistently lock into any RRS quick release clamp or compatible Arca-Swiss clamp. Importantly, the BZ7 can be used as normal with the Nikon FTZ adapter. Other features include an integrated anchor for installing a conventional camera strap straight onto the plate. It also has a QD socket for quickly installing QD-type camera straps. The shape of the plate allows for full access to the battery door while enhancing the ergonomics and safety of the Z7/Z6 body's grip. The BZ7 plate is the premier solution for mounting the Z7 or Z6 camera to a tripod. Being part of a modular set, it also accepts a custom, CNC machined L-shaped component, turning it into a full featured L-plate with both horizontal and vertical RRS dovetail rails. As combined, Really Right Stuff BZ7-L Set has the unique benefit of allowing photographers to quickly switch from landscape to portrait orientations without having to rpose their image. It features a second QD socket, integrated hex key, and full access to the left side port doors of the camera. The upright is shaped to allow the doors to fully swing out of the way. Finally, the L-component can be slid up to 1.25 away from the left hand side of the camera, in order to accommodate full cable tethering while shooting in portrait orientation.
