June 7, 2021I have been searching for an amp stand that could work with a head unit and small cabinet. I mostly play in small clubs where a 1x12 is the best option, but placing the head on top of a small cabinet doesn't allow me to hear it well enough. This has proven to be a great solution.
As with almost all designs, there are improvements that can be suggested. The A-frame design blocks the speaker jack on some cabinets, you sometimes have to be creative with the placement-however, the robust construction allows for it. Similarly, the back support of the head section can block effects loop cabling, speaker connections, footswitch plug access, etc., on some amp models. The flexibility of the top adjustment range allows for this as well. I'm even able to use this with large 1 x 15 cabinet. I did have to modify the stand by drilling an additional hole for the pin to clear enough access, but the stand is so ruggedly built it is still completely stable. I think the weight capacity rating is quite conservative. Overall, I'm extremely impressed and glad I found this product!
I really wanted to like this product -- doesn't work for me

March 5, 2022First, let me say this is a GREAT concept. I have other amp stands that work fine for Combo style amps, but small head amps and cabs don't work so well on those. When I saw this, I thought "Solution to my problem!"
It's not. The stand supports are in the way of the cabinet input. So you can't run a normal 3' speaker cable into the back of your cab--the stand is in the way. If you have a cab that has a speaker cable input that is not in the center, then maybe this will work for you. I find cabinets that are larger than 18 inches tall don't work so well--and if they are too deep, the same issue. I tried several amp combinations and was disapointed. Soldano SLO with 2x12--Nope! Doesn't fit. Tried raising to the highest extended setting...doesn't seem very stable. Solid enough to hold the weight, but seems rather flimsy to me. The amp I wanted to use is a Tupelo Head and 1x12. It fits, but just barely. Can't use it because as mentioned above the speaker cable input is dead center and the stand supports impede the cable connection. Furthermore, the unit I received had some poorly tapped adjustment screws. I'm concerned these will strip out in time. I debated on whether or not to return it, but I will keep it to see if I can use it with other combinations.
Great solution, stable, points off on some details

January 7, 2022Pros: Excellent space saving solution. Two amps, one footprint. Angling the amps up is the first priority and this stand does this very well. The bottom is set at one angle (and it's probably the optimum angle), and it has height adjustment. The top has height adjustment and a universal rotation for angle adjustment. The only limitation is interference with the amp below. It's plenty stable. Fender HD Deluxe on bottom, Marshall Origin 20 on top. The unit is a little bulky to carry on gigs but worth it and only 7-8lbs. Cons: Though it's well made, the fit of the top tube into the bottom is lose, too much "slop." This is a "no go" as is, the weight of an amp would torque it to swing like crazy. It was a quick fix by wrapping the male tube with a few layers of duct tape so the fit was snug and straight. But c'mon the designer couldn't see that was not good? A knob on the back came out-of-the-box broken off. This was a superfluous part anyway, so I'll give it a pass, but it's a flaw and not a bright design detail.
Final thought: One would think that there would be a number of "dual" amp stands on the market, but not really. This was the only one I could find in my search. Great find.

November 19, 2024Good stand for either one combo; two combos (very tight. Check measurements of each first) or a 1 x 12 or 2 x 12 Cab with a head. If using it with two combos, check to see if there clearance at the back for Mains and other cables (e.g. FX Send/Returns, etc.). Folds flat for transportation, which is a plus.
