The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (IMHO)
SquirrelWhisperer· Opinión proporcionada por LEGO · 17 de septiembre de 2023
Please stay with me on this one. First, let’s describe the GOOD. The farm truck shows very well. As LEGO admits, it is not meant to represent any special brand or model, but it does an incredible job at bringing back memories of 4 people sitting across on a bench seat designed for two, with brother holding the dog and sis holding the prize mini-pig that will take the fair this year. There is so much authenticity in the model, such as the flimsy doors that never seem to close the same way twice. Oh the memories!
THE BAD. Though the model appears solid, there are so many designed-in failure points that are just waiting to fall off. The front grill, the silly way the doors are framed which guarantees falling apart, the fenders which are fragile and love falling off.
So if that’s Bad, what’s THE UGLY.? Simply, every new expert level design can provide the builder with an enjoyable and challenging experience, or smack them with loads of incongruous designs (doors, fenders, grill, hinges) that due their frailty have little value for learning.
So why did I recommend this? First, it is one of the most challenging large cars that we’ve been given. Second, the final result shows very well. You just cannot play with it.
CLASSIC

Hi All,
This was an Enjoyable Project simple lights.
Doesn’t need the retro multi-coloured flashing light display, it’s a Classic Truck not a Pimp My Ride car.
This Kit is the CLASSIC.
The only bit of the Kit that Spoils it was the multi-colour strip light that goes under the Bonnet, Sorry “HOOD”,
So I changed it for a Warm White Dot Light to illuminate the Engine Bay, A lot better I think (Lego have this habit of Designing a Fantastic Engine or Interior and then COVERING IT UP, So where possible I try and Highlight it.
Well done G.O.B another Excellent Kit.
The Quality of the Wires & Lights are Very Good.
Well, On to my Next Project.
Excellent product at a reasonable price

This is a satisfying build with lots of creative techniques. While building, I was worried different parts would be fragile, but when connected, they were all sturdy and great fits. There are a few small issues. The doors (while they do work amazingly) are difficult to attach to the cab, which at that point is a little too cramped to work in easily and the hinge mechanism is understandably a little chunky. Also in the cab is another very minor issue, being that despite including an accelerator, brake pedal, and shifter, there is no clutch pedal. This is very minor, since the pedals are difficult to see as is, it just made me wonder why it was skipped. The grille is very loose, as it only has one weak connection. It won't fall off or anything, it's just very unstable to the touch. Other than these minor problems, I love this truck. the piece usage is great, especially for the inside door handles! There are few stickers, and the printed elements look great. The seasonal bits are great for more seasonal decorators, but I just have a very full truck bed. I absolutely recommend this set.
An excellent build

A Christmas present from my wife. A very satisfying build, everything came together to make a lovely model. No issues of mismatching bricks for me.

Before starting I read the reviews and noted some of the issues others had experienced with parts falling off. At the start of stage 3 I realised the chassis no longer sat flat on the table because of the steering gear - overcame this by tacking some spare strips underneath as in my picture, so everything then sat flat and secure.

I too struggled with securing the load bed at first - sorted by removing the seat and stripping the back of the cab down to below the rear window; also swapped the pairs of bricks with studs for the plain 1*2 bricks at steps 141 and 142 as in the photo; then it was dead easy to locate the load bed on the studs on the cab rear and press down firmly. These tips might help other builders.
